Camping in Tanzania
Tanzania is home to some amazing camp sites. Most sites are located in National Parks, lake and ocean shores maintained by private owned, local Park authorities and governing bodies in the areas.
Camping is all about ‘no frills’, relying only on yourself and your gear; it's about truly experiencing Tanzania’s native environments without any distraction.
This list contains campsites that are only a short drive from major centres and some that are more remote. In some regions, campsites close to major centres tend to require bookings to manage numbers and keep up with park maintenance.
